Help us congratulate the “Pickleball Rocks” February player of the month, Justin Rodgers. Several fans nominated Justin, plus we’ve seen him popping up on the medal stands everywhere lately.
Just another guy who is good for our great sport. Justin, private message us to collect the coveted “Pickleball Rocks” car magnet.
Nice job Justin.
Word on the street is that Justin and his partner, Ryan, will travel to the Midwest in July to play at the Capital City Pickleball Classic in Springfield.
Hi all,
I’ve been playing Pickleball for about 8 weeks now. Someone said to me along the way that it felt like a ‘dumbed-down’ version of Tennis. Knowing better I just left it at that and continued enjoying the exercise and fun factor it offers. I see how it benefits people of all ages and both genders, so much so that there’s no end to the chatter. All I hear and see is positive visual/verbal feedback and that is encouraging.
I believe Mr. Pritchard and his friend had great insight to fill the gaps between other racket sports by taking elements from three major ones, you know them and coming up with one that embraces many.
People who have never stepped on any court, never been actively engaged in physical activity in a sustained manner and people who have been active are coming together on their own accord to engage. To engage on various levels of sport and socialization under one roof. Pickleball! Indoors and outdoors.
